Ways to Earn – Advertising – Ad Credits

Ways to Earn – Advertising – Ad Credits

Ad Credits enable empowr citizens to purchase ads and accelerate the growth of their audience and earnings immediately without paying for advertising ahead of time.

Every new empowr citizen is extended $1,000 in ad credits the moment they join empowr. Once those Ad Credits have been utilized, empowr may automatically extend additional Ad Credits over time based on a variety of factors such as the availability of funds in the community pool, whether or not you are paying your fee on time, and more.

How do Ad Credits work?

Citizens can use Ad Credits to purchase ads for blog posts or marketplace items.

When you launch an ad, the minimum daily budget that can be set is $1.00, and the lowest Cost Per Click (CPC) that can be set is $0.01.

In return for using Ad Credits, empowr citizens pay a small Ad Platform fee each month on any utilized Ad Credits. They only need to pay off their Ad Credit utilized balance when cashing out profits.

Ad Platform fees

The Ad Platform fee is simply a fair use charge for using Ad Credits. The revenues generated from the Ad Platform are then distributed back to the community pool.

To calculate your overall fee, the system multiplies your fee percentage against your Ad Credits utilized as of that date. The fee is likely different each month, as the amount of Ad Credits utilized likely changes.

Benefits of Paying Ad Platform Fees on Time

By paying the Ad Platform fee on time, citizens will automatically receive a 50% rebate to their balance, which they can use to cash out, purchase from the marketplace, or spend on additional services to increase their empowr earnings.

Paying fees on time each month also enables citizens to optimize their account, earning them more than double from their activities.

Community Score

Every empowr citizen has a community score, which increases each time a citizen pays their Ad Platform fees on time. A citizen’s community score determines how much of their 0-day profits they can spend in the marketplace – the higher the score, the greater percentage of their 0-day profits they can spend.

To check your Community Score and see how much you can spend in the marketplace, click on “My Balance” from the top of any page, scroll down and click “Shop.”

How can I pay my Ad Platform fees?

  • Citizens can pay fees with fully matured profits, if they exceed the amount of the Ad Platform fees owed
  • Citizens can manually pay with PayPal or credit card
  • Citizens can enable Automatic Account Protection to automatically pay their Ad Platform fees on time each month with PayPal or credit card
  • Citizens can also pay up to 100% of Ad Platform fees with 0-day matured profits, depending on their Power Level.

Choosing Not to Pay Platform Fees

Citizens are free to not pay their fees, but they must pay them in full before spending any of their balance in the marketplace or cashing out. If a citizen chooses not to pay their fees on time, this will negatively affect their community score and their ability to optimize their account.

Ad Credit Account Page

To find everything Ad Credit related with your account, you can visit your Ad Credit Page by clicking “Advertise” in the left navigation bar, and then clicking on “Ad Credits.”

From your Ad Credit Page you can….

  • View your Ad Credit Account Summary
  • Pay your Ad Platform Fees
  • Pay down your utilized Ad Credits
  • Adjust your daily ad utilization percentage

Controlling your Ad Credit Usage

Citizens can lower their Ad Credit limit by paying back some or all of their utilized Ad Credits. Once you have paid back any Ad Credits utilized, you will no longer incur an Ad Platform fee.

Citizens can also choose to control how much of their Ad Credits they are using each day through their Ad Credit settings.

To change the percentage of Ad Credits utilized daily, go to the Ad Credit Page and click “Control how I pay for Ad Credits” underneath your account summary.

You can also access your Ad Credit Settings by clicking “Settings” in the upper right hand corner of the Ad Credit Page.

From there, you can adjust the percentage of Ad Credits you would like to utilize each day.

Please Note: By lowering your Ad Credit utilization percentage below 100%, your account will no longer be optimized for earning and your Earnings will be turned OFF.

Turning off Ad Credits

Citizens are free to stop using Ad Credits any time by turning off their earnings.

By turning your earnings off, you will no longer be able to earn from your activities on empowr or access your balance. If you wish to purchase products or services from the platform, you may still do so with an outside payment source.

If you have any outstanding Ad Credits, you will still be charged a monthly Ad Platform fee until ALL of the Ad Credits utilized are paid back.

In order to turn your earnings off, either set your daily Ad Credit Utilization to 0% or select “Don’t use Ad Credits to fund my Ads & Campaigns” from the Ad Platform Settings. Click “Save.”

Categorizing and Rating

Categorizing and Rating (CAR) is a great way to earn extended Ad Credits on empowr.

They raise your Ad Credit limit so you can purchasing advertising - which in turn helps you and everyone else earn more on empowr!

How Does Categorizing and Rating Work?

You rate how well a blog post relates to its Search Terms. A blog post's quality, determined through the categorizing & rating actions of the community, determines its position in searches.

How Do You Get Started Categorizing and Rating?

The fastest way to categorize & rate blog posts is via the Genie. Use the Genie to set a categorizing and rating goal. These goals do not increase the additional Ad Credits you are extended, but will help motivate you to stay on track.

To access the Genie, click “Learning Center” from the left navigation bar.

On the right hand side of the page you’ll see the icon for the Genie. Click “Categorize & Rate Posts”

Then set your goal and click “Continue”

The next screen will provide you with a blog to review. Scroll to the bottom of the blog post to Categorize and Rate. A green check means you agree the term fits the post and a red x means you do not agree that search term is relevant to the post. A question mark means you are unsure.

Once you make your choice, you will be asked to rate the search term on a scale of 1-10 (1 is the least and 10 is the most relevant). Rate the search post and click “Submit”

Add any search terms you feel are relevant to the post in the yellow box.

You can also Categorize and Rate any blog post by going to the bottom of the post under “Search Terms.”

New Citizens & CAR

CAR is a great way to increase your Ad Credit limit, but is not the ideal place for a new citizen to start. Why?

New citizens should start by Optimizing their Account, Maximizing their Network, and Monetizing their Network.

Once they are ready for more advanced steps, and would like to earn more Ad Credits, C&R is a great option.
